LET YOUR CHILD TAKE HIS/HER TIME WITH NEW FOOD
Young children’s reaction to a new type of food usually involves touching or smelling, even putting tiny bits in their mouths, then simply taking them back out again.
Your child may have numerous contacts with the new food before the first bite is actually taken.
Engage your child’s interest by talking about the food's colour, shape, aroma and texture; avoid saying that it tastes good.
A good idea might be to serve new types of food along with your child's favourite one.
