CONFRONTING NIGHTMARES
Have you been tortured by any nightmares recently? The fear of having a scary dream that feels way too real can keep us wide awake well into the night.
If this feeling hasn’t passed you by, try talking to your mom or dad.
Articulating the fears reflected in your nightmares or even representing them in a picture can actually prevent them from showing up.
Children are more likely to experience awful dreams when they watch scary, violent TV shows and movies or read such stories before bedtime.
Ignore these and try thinking about something you’re fond of before you go to bed.
Visualize a favorite place or activity or think of all the people who care about you.
Reading a calming book before bed (your parent can read to you or you can read to yourself) or playing soothing music can invite sweet dreams.
